Brenda A. Maier, 86, of Dowagiac, passed away at 1:10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Cass County Medical Care Facility.

Brenda’s life began on June 12, 1926, in England the daughter of Frank and Anna (Murray) Watson.

She was united in marriage to William Thomas Maier on June 15, 1946, in Dowagiac.

Brenda worked as a secretary for the probate office and Southwestern Michigan College.

Her loving family includes: her daughters, Joan (Kim) Mulder of Grand Rapids and Donna (Kurt) Groepler of Billings, Montana; grandchildren, Lauren Mulder, Spencer Mulder and Katie (Dan Freeland) Groepler; great-grandchildren, Caleb and Isaac Kehrwald; and sister, Marion Watson of England.

Brenda was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Maier, and son, Bill Maier.

She will be laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery in Dowagiac.
