The newest addition to Rick Riordan’s thrilling Heroes of Olympus series, “The Mark of Athena,” will not let down readers of this popular series. Riordan takes readers on a fast-paced, action- packed adventure with his expert storytelling skills.

Told from four perspectives, readers will intrigued by the quest of seven demigods sailing to an ancient land to complete a seemingly impossible task: to close the Doors of Death and fend off Gaea’s forces on the way. Percy, Jason, Hazel, Frank, Leo and Piper andone other demigod will go on to complete the Prophecy of Seven. Riordan’s not-soon-to-be-forgotten tale will have readers clutching their books close to their faces into the wee hours of the night as Riordan weaves a substantial story in which he answers the most important questions formed by readers following the cliffhanger ending of “The Son of Neptune.” “The Mark of Athena” ends with a good set-up for the next installment in the series.
