To the editor:

 

There has been much comment for and against Proposal 3. It is too bad not everyone is a member of Midwest Energy Cooperative because there is an article in its October magazine referring to both Ken Sikkema and Rick Baker as to why Proposal 3 would be a reckless mandate. Look it up.

In the first place, these five proposals should not even be part of the constitution!

Michigan is working toward the 10-percent renewable energy by 2015.This was approved in 2008. By then there will be another plan in place aiming for the 2025 goal.

The last thing families and businesses need is a state energy policy with a $12 billion price. Other states have an energy policy, but they were smart enough not to put it in their constitution.

Technology is constantly changing and improving.

Please vote NO on Proposal 3.
