Judy Ann Strefling, 69, of Galien, Michigan died peacefully Monday morning, Oct.29, 2012, at Jordan’s Life Care Center in
Bridgman.

Judy was born Dec. 11, 1942, in Berrien Springs to Harold and Margaret (Balla) Russell.  She graduated from Lakeshore High
School in 1961 and continued her formal education  with a year of college.  She married Warren Paul Strefling on Dec. 1, 1962, in
Stevensville. Working on the family farm with her husband gave Judy the opportunity to spend time outdoors. She enjoyed nature
and watching the birds.  She was a good cook, always having meals ready after a hard day of work and was known for her tasty apple pies. Judy was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sawyer.

Survivors include her husband, Warren; children, Denise (Keith) Hauch of Buchanan, and Matthew (Marcia) Strefling, of Galien;
grandchildren, Christine Swietlik, Andrew and Patrick Zielbauer, Michael Strefling, Elizabeth Rudolph, Rebecca Sebasty and Megan Halfacre; great-grandchildren, Michael, Zachary, Corey, Austin and Bradley; her sister, Deb (Rich) Slavicek, of St. Joseph; and a brother, Jerry (Sue) Russell, of Stevensville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sawyer with the Reverend Roberto Becerra officiating.  Interment will follow at New Troy Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on
Wednesday at Pobocik Funeral Home, Three Oaks.
