Southwestern Michigan College will host an open house Oct. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Activity Center on the Dowagiac campus. Visitors are asked to use the Dailey Road entrance and parking lot.

The open house is designed for high school juniors and seniors, as well as their parents. Three informational workshops on financial aid, surviving the college years and college planning for high school juniors will be presented. A “Parents’ Guide to Surviving the College Years” will be held at 11:15 a.m. and at 12:15 p.m.; “College Planning for Juniors” will be offered at 11:30 a.m. and at 12:30 p.m.; and a financial aid presentation will be at 11:45 a.m. and at 12:45 p.m.

Campus tours including student housing will be offered and faculty will be available to talk about career planning and SMC programs.
