It was a Bad Year for Tomatoes, but great night for theater

To the editor:

We have just come from watching a very good presentation at the Beckwith Theatre!

I really don’t know how they do it! Each play gets better and better, but it was very nice to witness a comedy this time around, as the first four plays that were presented this year were full of seriousness, tragedy, sadness, et al!

This time around it was pure comedy!

The actors/actresses all personified their various characters, and many of them are professional in our eyes! It always astounds us that here in this little civic theater they find the right characters to portray the people in the plays!

Much talent right here in little Dowagiac, believe me! If you have not seen this play, be sure to do so, and support your own playshop!

They take the time to study their lines, and work hard to do a good job, and they end up doing so!

We appreciate this theater, and have been watching them over the past 20 and more years, and they are constantly improving all the time!
