Visiting Paw Paw swept the doubles flights on its way to a 6-2 non-conference tennis win over Brandywine at Plym Park Thursday.

The Bobcats picked up wins at No. 2 singles with Chance Smith defeating Connor Anderson 6-4 and 6-0, while Kyle Duncan defeated Jesse Meachum 6-2 and 6-4 at No. 4 singles.

“We knew it was going to be a tough match up for us, but I think we really played well today,” Brandywine coach David Sidenbender said. “Our doubles teams didn’t win, but I think they played well and improved today. Our singles competed well too.

“Chance and Kyle came away with big wins and Tanner fought hard in a tough three-set loss. Michael really stepped up his game the past week and again even though today was a loss, it was to a quality opponent and he made him work for it.”
