BUCHANAN — The Dowagiac soccer team fell to host Buchanan 2-1 Tuesday.

The Bucks scored a goal in each half to pick up the win.

The Chieftains were outshot by the Bucks 13-11 in the contest.

Alex Martinez put the Bucks up 1-0 with 20:27 remaining in the opening half and Dowagiac was able to tie the score at 1-1 on a goal with just over three minutes left in the half.

Kevin Dey scored the winning goal for Buchanan with 5:17 left in the match off an assist from Martinez. Corey Vylonis had the assist on the first half goal for the Bucks.
