Kenneth James Sears, 24, of Mishawaka, passed away unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in his residence.

Kenneth was born on Oct. 21, 1987, in South Bend, as the son of Michael and Nancy (Freeland) Sears.

On March 27, 2009, in Niles, Kenneth married the former Melissa Ringle.

Kenny was a truck driver for Magnum Express for the past 8 months and had been a truck driver for other trucking firms in the area.

Kenny was an outgoing person, always friendly to everyone he met. He loved to go fishing and hunting with friends and his dog, Keelo. Kenny was an avid import car enthusiast; he was always helping friends work on cars. Ken’s true love and passion in life was his wife, children and family. He was always there for them. He will truly be missed and not forgotten.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Melissa, and three sons, Lucas, Landon and Ethan Sears.

He is also survived by his parents, Michael and Nancy Sears, of Niles; one brother, Kyle Sears, of Niles; his uncles, Kenneth Sears, of Niles, and Barry Freeman, of Eau Claire; his aunts, Diane Sears, Sandy Preston and Jacquelin Rudolph, all of Niles.

The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 26, at Voice Ministries Church, 1610 Nappanee St., Elkhart, where memorial services will held at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stan Deka officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to Melissa and her children. Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th St., Mishawaka, is handling the arrangements.
