LAPORTE, Ind. – The Brandywine football team outscored host LaLumier 36-6 over the final three quarters to pick up a 50-14 victory that moved the Bobcats to 4-1 on the season.

Brandywine led 22-14 at halftime thanks to an 18-yard touchdown pass from Andrew Duckett to Courtlan Gordon.

Brandywine scored 22 points in the third quarter to turn the game into a rout under less than ideal conditions.

“We blew the game wide open in the third quarter,” Brandywine coach Mike Nate said. “It was a good test for us to go on the road and win. The weather forced us to simplify our game plan because we wanted to throw it more than we did.”

Duckett ended up 8-of-12 for 115 yards and three touchdowns. Halfback Michael Shelton also threw a touchdown pass for the Bobcats.

Brandywine rushed for more than 300 yards, led by Gordon, who had 200 yards on 20 carries.

Trent Moskwinski caught a touchdown for the Bobcats, while Brian Kline had a pair of touchdown receptions.

Gordon caught a touchdown pass and ran for two scores. Jake Wright also had a touchdown run.
