Niles comes up short against Giants

KALAMAZOO — Host Kalamazoo Central swept the singles flight on its way to a 5-3 Big 16 Conference non-divisional win over Niles Wednesday.

The Vikings took three out of four doubles flights. The No. 4 doubles flight went three sets.

Winning for Niles were Alec Brown and Matt Miller over Ian Lane and Riley Fink (6-2, 6-1); Gevanta Nichols and Brent McGowan over Greg Hudspeth and Harrison Ladd (7-5, 6-3) and Isaac Rosenthal and Nick Borkowski over Young Chiang and Cullen McCormick (6-2, 6-1).
