Lardner eighth grade now 2-0

The Ring Lardner eighth grade football team improved to 2-0 with a 38-0 victory over Otsego Tuesday.

Five different Viking players scored in the contest.

James Kirtdoll returned the opening kickoff 85 yards to open the scoring. Alex Harpenau ran 55 yards on a quarterback keeper and Cameron Haines scored on runs of 48 and 18 yards.

Niles also got a 45-yard run from Robert Bush and a 2-yard run by Dawson Clemens.

The Vikings’ defense held Otsego to just three first downs.

Jacob Harrison and DeAnthony Wade led the defensive line, while Jake Hamm and Ben Florkowski recovered fumbles and Keegan Neumann had an interception.
