Ed ‘Eddie’ Parrish, 59

Died: Aug. 28, 2012

Ed (Eddie) Parrish, of Occoe Fla., former Dowagiac resident, lost his fight with cancer Aug. 28, 2012.

He was born in Chicago on Sept. 19, 1952, to Richard Parrish (Barbara) and Evelyn Collins Parrish (Kem) Joines. Ed graduated from Dowagiac Union High in 1971 and drove over-the-road trucks after serving in the Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Sandy Turner Parrish, and children, Carrie Turner, Jacen Turner, Chantelle Noles, Allen Noles and Michelle Koler. He is also survived by sisters, Pat Hurley-Burger (Ed), of Colon, Lynn (Richard) Accoe, of Dowagiac, Carol Pompey, of Dowagiac, and Martin (Kelly) Parrish of Mishawaka, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John Michael Koler;  and brother, Dennis Parrish, of Occoe Fla., and sister, Eileen (Dennis) Peckham, of Kalamazoo, and stepfather, Kem Joines.

A celebration of his life will be celebrated at the farm of Richard Accoe, 55555 Twin Lakes Rd., Dowagiac, on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 3 p.m. All family and friends are invited to join the celebration. You may contact (269) 228-1082 for information.
