Mary Diane George, 53, of Decatur, passed away Aug. 5, 2012, at her home of natural causes.

She was born July 15, 1959, in Dowagiac to Fred Ray and Mary Rose George, who both preceded her in death. She was a lifetime area resident and a homemaker.

Surviving family includes her son, Steven Canard of Dowagiac; two grandchildren; two brothers, Fred George Jr. of St. Joseph and Terry Lee George of Dowagiac; two sisters, Linda Anderson of Dowagiac and Deborah Harris of South Bend, Ind.

A memorial service will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, at Yore Avenue Baptist Church in Benton Harbor.
