Michigan State Police say four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident that occurred at the intersection of Leet Road and Michigan Highway 60 around 4 p.m. Tuesday in Howard Township.

Bob Camfield, of Lawton, said he was traveling east on M-60 in his pickup when a car attempted to cross M-60 going south on Leet Road. Camfield’s truck hit the car and came to rest facing west on M-60.

Camfield said he wasn’t injured, although he had an abrasion on his forehead.

Emergency personnel could be seen extracting people from the car, including at least two small children.

A Medflight helicopter landed in a clear area near the scene. Assisting were Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service, Niles Township Fire, Howard Township Fire and Life Care Ambulance.
