Roger A. Crowley, 43, of Niles, died at 5:17 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph following a brief illness.

His family is grateful to the staffs of Lakeland Hospital in Niles and St. Joseph, and especially to the staff of Southwestern Michigan Community Ambulance Service for their compassion and follow-up care.

He was born June 27, 1969, in Detroit to Colin and Mina Frances (Cooper) Crowley.

He was graduated from New Haven (Michigan) High School and attended Macomb County Community College.

He has lived in Niles most of his life, and was employed for many years by Comcast.

Roger enjoyed music, always listening to a wide variety of styles and attending live concerts as often as he could. He also enjoyed sports, and followed the Detroit Lions and University of Michigan football teams on television, as well as Detroit Tigers baseball.

On June 25, 1993 in Mount Clemens, he married the former Allison L. Bialk, who survives. Also surviving are their children, Taylor E. Crowley and Noah A. Crowley, both of Niles; Roger’s mother, Mina Crowley of Niles, and his sister, Lisa Buck of Niles; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father; his sister, Donna Melton; infant sister, Denise Crowley; and half-sister, Donita Scott.

The family of Roger Crowley is gathering privately for services.

Contributions in memory of Roger may be made to the donor’s choice.

Arrangements were made at the Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles.
