EDWARDSBURG — Cass County Republican Party filled its 2012 Victory Headquarters Monday evening for a ribbon-cutting ceremony, demonstrating “the dedication and enthusiasm our people have this year in terms of winning this election.”

“I don’t think there’s a soul here who doesn’t recognize the fact that our country is on the cusp,” party Chairman Bill LaBre said. “(Nov. 6) is probably one of the most important and serious elections that any of us have seen during our entire lifetime.”

“It isn’t merely the economy,” LaBre said. “It is our way of life. It is the integrity of our government. It is our individual freedom, not only in terms of how we live and work, but also our freedom even to believe. The number of people here eager to protect our country and win this election is truly inspiring.”

Romney-for-president signs will be replenished and available in two weeks, according to prosecutor Victor Fitz.

Sept. 15 is “Super Saturday,” when party faithful hit the streets knocking on doors.

Other states campaigned last weekend, when Michigan had its convention.

“Oddly, in a good way, all eyes will be on Michigan to see how our turnout is,” Mark Jamrog said.

“Romney’s theme is ‘Believe in America,’ ” Fitz said. “Let’s believe in our local, state and national candidates and bring America back in November. This country truly needs a return to its core values.”

GOP headquarters is  located at 69045 M-62, Suite B, Edwardsburg, adjacent to Taco Bell. Hours are 5 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturdays.

Yard signs, campaign literature and volunteer opportunities will be offered throughout September and October.
