COMSTOCK — It took all five sets, but visiting Edwardsburg defeated Comstock 3-2 in Wolverine Conference volleyball Thursday.

The Eddies defeated the Colts 14-25, 25-18, 25-20, 22-25 and 15-12.

Kaylee Ryker had 23 digs and three aces for the Eddies, who also got 21 digs and five kills from Catie Razzano.

Madison Hatkevich had seven kills and 17 digs. Payton Szlanfucht finished the night with 25 assists and three aces.

“The Eddies varisty had an all-around team win with each position contributing great play,” first-year Edwardsburg coach Chrissy Breisch said. “My hitters were smart, hit the ball in the exact same spots we worked on in practice and kept the defense honest throughout the entire game.”

The Edwardsburg JV defeated Comstock 25-14 and 25-7.

Gabby Golba had seven aces and four kills, while Chante Williams had five digs.
