Daniel Frank Hess Sr., 72, of Berrien Center, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012, at his residence with his family by his side.

Daniel is preceded in death by his mother, Helen (Kujawa) Hess; daughter Tina Hess; and son Dan Hess Jr.

He is survived by his father, Frank Hess; wife Norma (Bybee) Hess,; two sons, Matthew Hess, of Niles, and Tadd Stockbarger, of Tampa, Fla.; four daughters, Tammy Hess, Denise Durham, Tina Young and Shiva Collinsworth, all of Niles; 15 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; five brothers, Robert (Jacki) Hess, Ronald (Sharon) Hess, John (Carol) Hess, Paul (Linda) Hess, Joe Hess; four sisters; Betty Gober, Diane Olsen, Theresa Brettman and Helen (Terry) Helmic, of Whiting, Ind.

A memorial service will be held in Daniel’s honor on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. in Mission Hills Memorial Chapel with a time of visitation one hour prior. The Rev. Thomas King, CSC from St. Mark Catholic Church, will be officiating the memorial services.

Memorial contributions may be made in Daniel’s memory to Hospice at Home; 4025 Health Park Lane, St. Joseph, MI 49085.
