Wildcats hand Vikings second setback

Visiting Mattawan handed Niles its second straight Big 16 Conference West Division loss Monday.

The Vikings were defeated by the Wildcats 6-2.

Niles is now 5-2 and 0-2 in the West Division.

Mattawan won three out of four singles and doubles flights.

Michael Geiger won at No. 3 singles for the Vikings with a 7-5, 7-6 decision over Kent Weber.

Alec Brown and Matt Miller needed three sets at No. 1 doubles to defeat Will Smola and Zac Stoner 6-4, 6-7, 6-3.
