Niles second, Bobcats third at Leeper invitational

SOUTH BEND – The Niles tennis team finished second and Brandywine third at the Leeper Park Invitational hosted by South Bend St. Joseph Saturday.

The host Indians won the team title with 23 points. St. Joseph swept the singles flights en route to the crown.

The Vikings’ No. 1 doubles team of Alec Brown and Matt Miller went 3-0 to capture a flight championship.

Niles’ Brad Miller (2-1) was second at No. 1 singles, Brandywine’s Chance Smith (2-1) was second at No. 2 singles and Niles’ Michael Geiger (2-1) was second at No. 3 singles.

The Vikings’ Gevanta Nichols and Brett McGowan (2-1) were second at No. 2 doubles.
