EDWARDSBURG – The Edwardsburg soccer team opened its 2012 season with a victory at its own Eddies Invitational Saturday.

Edwardsburg defeated Comstock in the first round 6-0 and then blanked Marcellus 3-0 in the championship match. Marcellus reached the title game with a 5-1 win over Three Rivers.

Nick Karamalegos, Alan Lopez and Lukas Nylund all scored goalies for the Eddies in the championship match. Tyler Treat and Zac Griffith assisted on the first two goals.
