Win tickets to Notre Dame-Purdue game

The first high school football games of the season are slated for Thursday night.

This year Leader Publications is going to make those games just a little more interesting as it has begun its Football Blitz contest.

Each week, fans will be asked to pick the winners of up to 15 high school and college games. Prizes will be awarded.

Since the college season is still more than a week away, there are 10 high school games to choose from this week. Voting ends at midnight Wednesday, so join today and make your selections.

The first week’s winner will get a pair of tickets to the Notre Dame-Purdue game Sept. 8.

This contest is completely local, so you will be competing against friends, family and neighbors. You can even set up your own groups and compete against each other or co-workers. The more people you get to compete, against the more fun you will have.

Here is how you play:

Each week you will pick the winners of between 10 and 15 games. There will also be a tiebreaker that allows you to predict the final score of one of those games.

For each correct pick you earn a point. The person who correctly picks the tiebreaker gets five points.

There will be a grand prize at the end of the college football regular season.
