Vote Stover for supervisor

Published 1:45pm Monday, August 6, 2012
Hello. My name is Jim LaPeer, and I am the treasurer of Cannon Township. I have known Jim Stover in a professional treasurer’s capacity for many years, as his former township (Plainfield) and mine are adjacent.  We have had much opportunity to collaborate.
Jim is an excellent public servant who has a natural way of listening to people, and inviting them to talk. His calm manner puts folks at ease and inspires trust … which for local elected board members is a wonderful attribute to have. I have been in many meetings with Jim, and always found him to be fair, balanced and more determining of the public good rather than perhaps his own agenda.
Among his township peers Jim is held in high-esteem. He is always turned to for his opinions … and for leadership on new issues. He was elected director of the local three-county MTA group for several years, reflecting the respect that this fine gentleman enjoys. I would encourage folks to support Mr. Stover, and vote him supervisor in the upcoming Niles Township election.
Thank you.
