To the editor:

As I am retiring from my position of clerk of Silver Creek Township. I wish to express my position on the future administration for the benefit of its citizens.

Mrs. Barbara Runyon has filed for my position. I am very comfortable in turning the clerk’s position over to her. She has had years of experience at the county, and is thus very qualified. I support her.

Mrs. Maureen Kuriata, treasurer, is unopposed. She brings a high standard of honesty and dedication to this position. I support her to continue.

There are three filed for the two trustees positions.

Mr. Joe Moore, is currently a trustee. Joe is the longest serving member of the board. This experience, along with his ability to listen to all, no agenda and dedication earn my support.

Of the new candidates filed, Mr. Mike Glynn is the most qualified. Mike is currently the planning commission chairman, he has sought to educate himself on township government and planning issues. I support Mike for Trustee.

Mr. Bill Saunders has served for eight years as supervisor. Bill and I have had opposite positions on some issues and have worked together on others. Our styles of administration are different. His experience is valuable. I believe Bill does try to look at the best interest of the township. I therefor support re-election of Bill.

Yours truly,

Walter F. Lehmann

Clerk

Silver Creek Township
