Hubert Price, 69, of Dowagiac, passed away at 2:50 a.m. at Borgess-Lee Memorial Hospital on Saturday, July 28, 2012.

Hubert’s life began Oct. 23, 1942, in Kings County, Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of

Charles and Dorothy (Sharrone) Price. Hubert was a porter and doorman for over 40 years in New York City, where he was originally from until he retired. He enjoyed spending time with his family and walking. Hubert had walked from where he lived to Coney Island, which is quite a feat, and he also loved animals.

His loving family includes his brothers and sister, Stanly (Bonnie) Green, of Dowagiac, Charles (Marie) Price, of Pennsylvania and Audrey (Ben) Librera, of Long Island, N.Y.; eight nieces and nephews; and several great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marjorie Price.
