Auditions for “A Pebble Among the Rocks” will be held at the Barn Swallow Theatre, 22334 U.S. 12, Edwardsburg, from 2 to 4 p.m. July 29.

The original play, based on a book by Adam Fleming, will premiere at 8 p.m. Oct. 25-27, and at 2 p.m. Oct. 28. There will also be two performances at the Goshen Theater on Nov. 9-10.

Set in 1992, the play examines life and relationships in a small town nursing home. Characters needed fit into a range of ages and genders, and some actors may be asked to play multiple roles.

Currently, roles to be filled include four men, ages 60 and older; two women, ages 55 and older; one man, age 35 to 60; three women, ages 30 to 55; one man, age 25 to 35; and one woman, age 16 to 25.

Prior stage experience is not necessary to audition.
