Frank Dobosz, 88, of Nottingham Avenue in Chicago Ridge, Ill., and formerly of Niles, died at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday, July 11, 2012, at Palos Community Hospital in Palos Heights, Ill.

He was born Jan. 6, 1924, in Bursztyn, Stanislawow, Poland, to Andrzcj and Marica (Czerniak) Dobosz. In 1942, he served in the Polish Army in the Middle East, and received the Cross of Valour, Cross of Monte Casino, Italy Star and Defense Medal.

Frank moved to the United States in the 1950s. After more than 30 years of service, he retired from French Paper Company in Niles. He moved from Niles to Chicago Ridge eight years ago.

Mr. Dobosz is survived by his wife, Karolina; stepdaughter, Lidia Tincau, of Chicago Ridge; grandchildren, Robert Tincau, Peter and Pawel Oscik; and great-grandchildren, Daniel, Jacob, Alexander and Lilian Oscik.

The Mass of Christian Burial for Frank Dobosz will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Saint Mary Catholic Church in Niles with the Rev. David Otto officiating. Committal rites will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Niles. Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Arrangements were made by Halbritter Funeral Home, Niles.
