Grand Council Friday

The Grand Festival starts at 2 p.m. Friday at Cass County Council on Aging at M-60 and Decatur Road in Cassopolis.
The family-friendly event for grandparents and grandchildren features activities, games, entertainment, and a cookout dinner. The event is free, and an adult must accompany children.
Scheduled activities include hayrides, the Withers Choo Choo, traveling naturalist from Sarett Nature Center, a rock-climbing wall, jumping castle, balloon animals, petting zoo, child fingerprinting by the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, crafts and games. Magician Alan Kazam will perform tricks and illusions for the crowd, and the cookout dinner will wrap up the day. Games and activities run from 2 to 4 p.m.; the magic show will begin at 4 p.m.; and dinner will be served at 5 p.m.
