Brandywine second at Lakeshore

STEVENSVILLE — The Brandywine 9U All-Stars finished second at the Sixth Annual Lakeshore All-Star Invitational Sunday.

Brandywine was defeated by host Lakeshore 8-7.

In reaching the finals, the All-Stars lost to Lakeshore 14-6, beat Buchanan 10-9 and beat North Lincoln 9-6.

Lakeshore defeated St. Joe in the semifinals 10-7.

Brandywine had two entries in the 8U division. Both squads went 0-2 in pool play.

Brandywine 1 defeated Brandywine 2 10-2 in single elimination play. St. Joe defeated Brandywine 1 in the quarterfinals 9-8.

Brandywine and Howard Township both had teams in the 10U live pitching division. Both squads went 0-2 in pool play.

Brandywine lost to Lakeshore 11-1 and Howard Township fell to Buchanan 9-4 in single elimination action.

The Brandywine 11U All-Stars lost to Lakeshore 10-2 and defeated St. Joe 16-1 in pool play before falling to Eastside 14-0 in the semifinals.

Brandywine’s 12U All-Stars were 1-1 in pool play, beating Coloma 5-0 and falling to St. Joe 14-7.

In single elimination action, Brandywine was defeated Eastside 8-0.
