Three arrests for meth in Jones

Three people are charged with drug crimes and an infant was taken into protective custody after a search warrant yielded arrests in Jones.

The Cass County Drug Enforcement Team executed a search warrant at a residence in the 61000 block of High Street in Jones at 4 p.m. July 3.

During the search, officers located multiple used meth labs and components to manufacture methamphetamine. A handgun, meth and marijuana were also located at the residence.

A 7-month-old child was living at the residence as well, and was taken into protective custody by the Child Protective Services division of the Department of Human Services.

Three subjects were arrested at the scene.

Twenty-nine-year-old James Ibbotson and 26-year-old Mary Ibbotson were arrested for manufacturing meth, possession of meth, maintaining a drug house, manufacturing meth creating hazardous waste, possession of a firearms while in commission of a felony and possession of marijuana. Eighteen-year-old Siera Rodriguez was arrested for possession of meth, maintaining a drug house and conspiracy to manufacture meth.
All three subjects were arraigned in 4th District Court of Cass County. Both Ibbotsons are held at the Cass County Jail with a $45,000 cash or surety bond. Rodriguez is held on a $35,000 cash or surety bond.

This matter remains under investigation.
