$5,000 reward offered in B&E

Ken Strickland, owner of Village Automatics, 69576 Section St., Edwardsburg, is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of persons involved in the break-in early Friday morning of his machine business.

Ontwa Township-Edwardsburg police said four computers, several guns and some petty cash were taken. Officers are continuing to investigate.

Strickland has been in the machining business for close to 35 years. He started his career with 13 years experience in setup and screw machine repair.

After years of working for someone else, he made his own start in 1989.

Village Automatics specializes in auto screw machines as well as CNC milling and turning.

Chief Kenneth Wray said at least two people broke into Village Automatics.
