Barn Swallow Theatre, 22334 U.S. Highway 12, Edwardsburg, invites the public to audition for their 2012 production of “A Pebble among the Rocks,” an original play by playwright Adam Fleming of Goshen, Ind.

Auditions will be held at the Barn Swallow Theatre from noon to 4 p.m. July 14. This play will be performed at Barn Swallow Theatre Oct. 25-28 and in Goshen at the Goshen Theater Nov. 9-10.

“There are 12 characters in this play, and a fair number of seniors are needed,” said Fleming, who will direct the play. “Even seniors in the community who have never acted before are welcome to audition.”

Set in 1992, the play examines life and relationships in a small town nursing home. Characters needed are roughly in these genders and age ranges, and a few actors may be asked to play multiple roles: four men ages 60 and over; two women, ages 55 and over; one man age 35 to 60; three women, ages 30 to 55; one man age 25 to 35; one woman age 16 to 25.
