The Niles City Golf Tournament will be held at Plym Park July 14-15.

A youth division has been added for 2012.

The youth tournament will be July 13.

The event, which began in 1957, will have seven total flights — Championship, A, B, C, Senior Championship, Senior A and Senior B.

It costs just $20, plus greens fees and a cart for the adult division. Deadline for entry is 5 p.m. July 12 for the youth tournament and July 13 for the final two days of the tourney. There will be 9 holes of golf for the youth and 18 holes of golf on both days for the city tournament.

Last year, 2009 champion John Kessick defeated 2010 champion Paul Krause with a birdie on the first playoff hole to claim the city title.

In the “A” Flight it was Jason Ensign taking home the title with a 160 total through both days.  Aaron Kelley (164) took the “B” Flight title, while Tim Mervine (217) captured the “C” Flight championship.

In the Senior Championship Flight, Bob Freshley won the city title with a score of 142. In the Senior “A” Flight Bob Blue (176) was the champion.

Rounding out the 2011 titles was Bob Lloyd with a four-stroke win in the Senior “B”Flight.
