Courtney, Tucker headed to Adrian

Dowagiac’s Sam Courtney and Dontrell Tucker will continue to be teammates at the next level.
Courtney and Tucker, who helped lead Dowagiac to a Division 5 District championship in 2011, have decided to continue their academic and athletic careers at Adrian College.
The signings were announced by Dowagiac coach Mike Stanger Friday.
Courtney, 6-0, 210-pounds, was a first team All-Wolverine Conference selection last fall. He was also a team captain.
In the classroom, Courtney has a GPA of 3.8 and scored a 29 on his ACT. He will also compete in track, throwing the shot and discus for the Bulldogs.
Tucker, a team captain, was an All-Wolverine Conference selection as well and a three-year starter for Stanger.
In the classroom, Tucker has a GPA of 3.6 and scored a 20 on his ACT.
Both are National Honor Society members.
