The Cass County 4-H Leader’s Association’s annual hog roast fundraiser will take place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Cass County Fairgrounds in the old Pork Producers Building, 590 N. O’Keefe St., Cassopolis.
The meal includes a pulled pork sandwich, potato salad, baked beans, beverage and dessert.
Tickets for the event are now on sale and can be purchased for $8 in advance from any 4-Her or the MSU Extension office in Cassopolis. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
The Leader’s Association helps support funding for 4-H initiatives in Cass County. The 4-H programs provide great development opportunities for participating youth.
Studies show that Michigan 4-H youth participants are less likely to smoke, drink or do drugs.
They are also more likely to have higher levels of academic competence, attend college programs and are more physically active than non-4-H participants.
