Pet of the week/Stella

Stella has been chosen to represent week 3 of Adopt a Shelter Cat Month.

Stella the cat

At first glance, Stella may appear to be your basic tabby cat, but she is so much more. The fur between her black dots/stripes is like bunny fur — dark at the bottom, and silver on the tips. The back of her ears looks like they have been dipped in walnut stain. Stella looks like she is wearing a necklace with her stripe placement. She has gorgeous peridot-green eyes. Besides looking gorgeous, Stella is a perfect lap cat. She loves to be held, petted and scratched. She has a very quiet purr. Stella would rather cuddle and be petted than chase a toy. “Calm and Content” is Stella’s motto. She will need updating on shots. Stella has recently been spayed, making her adoption fee only $30. That includes a free homemade comfy bed, too! Whatta bargain!
Last week’s dog adoptions include Brutus, boxer; beagles, Joey and Daisy; Shepherd, Duke; Lab, Eliza; and Chihuahua, Isobell. Cat adoptions include Callie and kittens Boots and Annie. Many kittens are available in the shelter, with more arriving daily. A nice variety of dogs are available, too. Come, meet, adopt!
