Joseph F. Jones, 56, of North Shore Drive, Edwardsburg, died at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012, at his home following an extended illness.

He was born April 30, 1956, in Niles to Joseph F. Jones Jr. and Marjorie (Reth) Jones.

He was previously employed in a local canning factory. He enjoyed spending time with friends.

Surviving family includes his sons, Joseph F. Jones IV, of Cassopolis, Caleb W. Jones, of Bloomingdale, Mich.; daughters, Shannon Cain, of Cassopolis, Marjorie M. Jones, of Bloomingdale; grandchildren, Deseray, Allison, Jessie and Monty; brother, Jerry Jones, of Edwardsburg; and sister, Jackie (Ray) Shankes, of Kokomo, Ind.

Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, June 15, at Halbritter Funeral Home in Niles with the Rev. Randy Pearman, of Bethel Baptist Church, officiating.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
