Eddies win Lakeland championship

BERRIEN SPRINGS — Edwardsburg and Coloma won the boys and girls Lakeland Conference track championships Wednesday.

The Eddies easily outdistanced runner-up Brandywine for the boys title. The Eddies scored 183 points, while the Bobcats finished with 107 points. Host Berrien Springs was third with 89 points.

In the field events, Skye Roy won the pole vault, while Jessie Mays won the long jump and Hunter Woods won the high jump.

On the track, Josh Clark won the 800 and 1,600 meters and was part of the winning 3,200- and 1,600-meter relay teams.

Greg Hall won the 110 meter hurdles, Roy won the 100 meters, Woods won the 400 meters and Adam Kendall won the 200 meters.

The Eddies also won the 400 meter relay.

For the girls, Casey Garcia won the pole vault in the field events.

Aubrey Ritchey won the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 meters and was part of the winning 3,200-meter relay.

The Eddies also captured the 1,600-meter relay.
