Schrader medalist as Vikings advance

OTSEGO — Led by medalist John Schrader, the Niles golf team finished fourth at the Division 2 District Golf Tournament at Prairiewood Thursday.

Otsego won the team title with a score of 315. Gull Lake was second at 318 and St. Joseph third at 322. The Vikings shot 325.
Edwardsburg also qualified for the regional after finishing fifth with a 326. The top six teams, plus the top six individual qualifiers not on a team, move on to the regional next week.
Besides Schrader’s score, Niles also got a 79 from Sam Clark, an 81 from Jared Langmeyer, a 93 from Josh Bell and a 118 from Quinn Brawley.
The Eddies were led by Evan VanBelle’s 78. Dominic Razzano shot 81, Austin Tevlin 82, Max Habicht 85 and Corey Stoneburner 90.
