Toney continues series June 5

The second in a series of meetings designed to improve community participation and communication on critical current events takes place at 7:30 p.m. June 5 at Edwardsburg American Legion on U.S. Highway 12, just east of M-62.
The series is designed to provide insight into critical resources at disposal in trying to improve the local economy.
Guest speaker Eileen Toney, co-chairwoman of the Cass County Economic Development Corp., directs development for Southwestern Michigan College.
The Dowagiac graduate is responsible for promoting Alumni Plaza, meeting quarterly with key college donors and introducing new prospects to the campus environment.
Toney previously was employed for 17 years by Chemical Bank, including vice president of regional sales and vice president of commercial lending.
Almost 70 people attended the inaugural May 8 meeting with state Rep. Matt Lori on health care.
