Heather Michelle Wiora and Jeffrey Alan LaPorte, both of Chicago, are engaged to be married June 9, 2012, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sycamore, Ill.

The bride-to-be, daughter of Steven and Michelle Wiora of Sycamore, is a 2003 graduate of Sycamore High School, Sycamore. In 2007, Heather earned a bachelor of science degree in microbiology from the University of Texas, Austin, and is currently employed as a research scientist at Loyola Medical Campus in Maywood, Ill.
Jeff, son of Pat and Jan LaPorte of Cassopolis, is a 2001 graduate of Cassopolis Ross Beatty High School; a 2005 graduate of Alma College’s School of Health and Exercise Sciences; and a 2007 graduate of Benedictine University, Lisle, Ill., with a master of science degree in exercise physiology. Jeff is currently the strength and conditioning coach at Brookdale Senior Living in Chicago.
Heather and Jeff will reside in Chicago after the wedding.
