EXPOsing photo contest winner announced

The $100 winner of the Exposing Greatness UPickem online photo contest is this shot by Clare DeHaan of the Niles Police Department. It shows police officers, squad cars and the Law Enforcement Center in the background. The photo received 542 votes.

Participants submitted photos from April 5 to April 29 of people in the community doing things to “expose greatness.”

The second place photo was from Nancy Studebaker of the Niles District Library. The photo of Heather Williamson of the library garnered 438 votes.

Third place went to Rebecca Foster-Robbins of the Buchanan Art Center. It received 194 votes.

Leader Publications’ next UPickem online photo contest is the Summer Fun Photo Contest, which will get under way Memorial Day weekend and end Labor Day weekend. Submit photos of people doing activities — festivals, barbecues, parades, boating and other things that make summer fun.

Voting will begin the Tuesday after Labor Day.

The winner will get a $500 cash prize.
