Vikings have no problems with Tigers

BENTON HARBOR — Visiting Niles had no trouble picking up its first Big 16 Conference West Division sweep of the season Tuesday.

The Vikings (10-10-1) defeated Benton Harbor 10-0 in six innings and 16-0 in three innings.

Taylor Campbell and Tate Brawley combined on a four-hitter with eight strikeouts.

Chris Mangus had three doubles and drove in a pair of runs, while Matthew McLaughlin added two doubles. Connor Glick also had a double for the Vikings, who finished with 14 hits.

Brawley, Glick and Mangus all finished with three hits.

In the nightcap, Niles scored 12 runs in the first inning to complete the sweep.

Mitchell Dehn tossed a one-hitter with five strikeouts.

Mangus continued his hot hitting with a double and a home run. He was 2-for-2 with five RBIs.

Glick added a pair of doubles and four RBIs, while McLaughlin and Dehn also doubled.
