Minnie “Marie” McCaslin, 84, of Niles, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2012, in Berrien Center.
She was born Oct. 15, 1927 in Caruthersville, Mo., to Homer and Dora Blagburn. She was a lifetime area resident, a retiree of Simplicity Pattern Co. in Niles and loved to play euchre and loved music. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend and will be loved and missed by all.
In July 1946, in Caruthersville, Mo., she married Andrew McCaslin. He preceded her in death in 1971. She was also preceded in death by her parents and son, Ronnie McCaslin, on Feb. 5, 2000.
Survivors include her son, Gary McCaslin, of Niles; daughters, Diane Ketchum, of Deland, Fla., and Karen McCaslin, of Niles; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many great great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bonnie B. Blagburn, of Caruthersville, Mo.
Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 10, at Hoven Funeral Home, Buchanan. Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Pastor Robert Hamilton will be officiating the service.
Memorials can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Hoven Funeral Home is handling arrangements for the family.
