Vikings swept by Edwardsburg

EDWARDSBURG —   Visiting Niles only managed seven hits in dropping a non-league softball game to Edwardsburg Thursday.

The Eddies won the opening game 5-0 behind the two-hit shutout of Jill Blough.

Brittany Hurst doubled and Tanner Kiessel tripled for Edwardsburg.

In the nightcap, Andrea LaPlace scattered five hits and allowed just one one.

MacKenzie Creed had a double for the Eddies.

Brooke Wilson was 3-for-3 for the Vikings with an RBI, while Ameliea Ernsberger was 2-for-3.
