PORTAGE – The Niles JV softball team split a doubleheader with host Portage Northern Tuesday.

The Vikings won 16-8 and lost 19-5.

Ciara Peel pitched both games.

Brooke Hojara and Brynna Kretschmer had five hits, while Cassie Betts had four hits. Shayna Gaedtke and Miranda Bailey both finished three hits on the night.
