The Dowagiac JV golf team remained undefeated in dual matches as it beat South Haven 195-210 at Hampshire Country Club Wednesday.

Jordan Hagemann led the Chieftains with a 43. Dowagiac also got a 49 from Paul Lamphere, a 50 from Jeremiah Guernsey, a 53 from Ross Tidy and a pair of 59s from Nick Lindemulder and Mike Luthringer.

Adrian Leversen finished with a 62.

“We continue to improve each time we hit the course,” Dowagiac coach Mark Wild said. “The guys shot 186 in practice (low four scores) yesterday and today we posted a season best match score.

“Jordan is playing very good right now and Paul has some of the best ball striking I’ve seen. The key to us improving is learning how to score and avoid the big mistakes. The entire team is starting to understand this as we progress through our season. I’m proud of the work that this group has put in so far.”
