BENTON HARBOR — The Niles boys and girls track teams split their Big 16 West Division meets with St. Joseph and host Benton Harbor Tuesday.

The Vikings were swept by the Bears. Niles defeated Benton Harbor in both ends of the meet.

Winning three events for the Vikings was Brandon Partee. Partee captured both the 110- and 300-meter hurdles with times of 15.38 and 42.37 respectively. He was also part of the winning 400-meter relay team along with Ronnie Jones, Cicone Palmore and David Hayes. That unit posted a time of 45.07.

Niles also got first place finishes in the 3,200- and 1,600-meter relays, while Derek Scott won the shot put with a toss of 44-6.

The Vikings had just two first place efforts in the girls portion of the meet.

Taylor Brandstatter won the 400-meters with a time of 1:01.87 and Miranda Baker won the high jump with a leap of 4-10.
