James S. Scott, of St. Louis, formerly of Dowagiac, was born May 17, 1958, in Dowagiac, the son of George and Maxine (Dolph) Scott. He was a member of North Wayne Mennonite Church and attended Lewis Cass Intermediate School.

James’s loving family includes: his mother, Maxine Scott of Cassopolis; brothers, David Scott of St. Charles, Ill., and Daniel Scott of Niles.

James passed away on April 29, 2012, at his residence in St. Louis. He was preceded in death by his father, George Scott.

His family will gather with friends on Wednesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at Yazel and Clark Chapel with the funeral service at 11 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Dewey Lake Cemetery.
